The church of St. Stephan von Montzen was built in 1780 in the classical style and consists of a single nave without pillars. The tower and forecastle were rebuilt in 1865. The baroque interior has been a listed building since 1953.
Next to the church is a war memorial for the fallen of the two world wars.

The Sankt Stephanus Church of Montzen, built in 1780, consists of a single nave without columns, has an inner width of 14.25 meters and is in the classical style. The tower and the front building were rebuilt in 1865. The baroque interior has been classified since 1953. (plombières.be)

Vandring

The center of Montzen is dominated by this surprisingly beautiful Baroque church from 1780. Quite simple in construction, but all the more spacious and refreshing with beautiful ornaments. The interior is also Baroque and classified since 1953. The tower and part of the front part of the church were renovated/rebuilt in 1865.

Quote from "open churches": "Once inside, it is the space, the volume, that should attract our attention. No column obstructs the general view, except those that support the rood loft."
