Day Hill near Duluth, MN is a mysterious and scenic spot that will intrigue hikers. This hill is named after Frank Day, a Duluth businessman who built a stone fireplace on the summit in the early 1900s. No one knows why or who he did it for, but the fireplace remains a lonely reminder of his story. The hike to Day Hill is short but steep, offering amazing views of Lake Superior and Split Rock Lighthouse.

He intended to build a dream home for his beloved atop the rock.He started with the massive stone fireplace, but Day's love abandoned him before he built more.
