Vandring
The Asiago train station was the terminus of the 22km railway line which, from 1910 to 1958, connected the Vicenza plain (Piovene Rocchette) to the Sette Comuni plateau, stopping at several small intermediate stations.
It was opened in 1910; it was destroyed, together with the whole country, by the bombings of the First World War, during the Strafexpedition of 1916; after the war it was rebuilt following the original project; in the 1980s it was renovated, with some modifications, to become the headquarters of the Unione Montana Spettabile Reggenza dei Sette Comuni.
