Mynydd Troed is a wonderful ridge lying in the north east of the Brecon Beacons National Park, in the Black Mountains. It tops out at 1,998 feet (608 m) and stands alone, only tenuously linked to its neighbour, Mynydd Llangorse, and is particularly prominent as a result. The ridge’s name means ‘foot mountain’ thanks to its shape and it makes for a great adventure for explorers of all abilities.

Vandring

Mynydd Troed is a gorgeous little hill in the Black Mountains area of the Brecon Beacons. Its name literally translates to "Foot Mountain," based on how it appears when viewed from the Allt Mawr ridge. It lies 3 miles south of Talgarth and 2 miles northeast of the village of Llangorse on the western side of the range. Its summit reaches 609m above sea level and it is crowned by a trig point. The views from its top is super nice, especially towards Mynydd Llangorse.

Vandring

Other than its lower slopes, the hill is designated as open country and therefore freely accessible to walkers. The most popular routes of ascent are from Pengenffordd on the A479 to the northeast and from the col over which the minor road up Cwm Sorgwm goes towards Llangors. A bridleway and a restricted byway run around the foot of the hill to the north and west.
