Vandring
A path leads over the summit of the Weilberg and along the upper edge of the basalt quarry, past some relics of the former quarry. The path is overgrown, sometimes very steep and no official trail. A barbed-wire fence that has been rotted beyond recognition no longer protects you from stepping into the abyss in many places. This is also almost not visible from the path - for a safe hike with a beautiful view, I recommend the Weilberg circular route and the viewpoints that can be reached from there!

As bad as 42x7 it describes, it is not end of 2019. The way from the east is except for a few logs in good condition, good shoes should of course wear. As long as one does not climb over the barbed wire, one does not get very close to the slope. At Stenzelberg the barbed wire is more treacherous. The path is pretty nice, but there is no view. I did not run the dashed up / down in the west, maybe it's more dangerous.

From the summit you have a dizzying view of the crater. Carefully at the crater rim it goes several meters vertically into the depth!
