Vandring

Landgrave Philipp von Hessen had the castle built around 1685, which he appropriately named "Philippsthal". Today there is a trade and service center with the landgrave's library, the town hall and the representative meeting room, which is also often used as a wedding room.
In the archway of the castle, which was originally supposed to be demolished, is the border museum, which can only be viewed after consultation with the porter (the workers' welfare).

Vandring

Landgrave Philipp of Hesse-Philippsthal had a castle built in 1685. It was built in the town of Kreuzberg, which he renamed to suit his castle. Philippsthal Castle was built from the remains of a former monastery, which were integrated into the buildings.

The castle is now used for various private purposes and as a town hall. There is a nursing home here, among other things. You are only allowed to cross the courtyard, but not to visit the interior.
