The tower in the castle park, built around 1400, has been preserved as part of the earlier city fortifications. Integrated into a considerable remnant of the old city wall, the formerly strategically important building no longer exists at its original height. The small park with old trees and the castle pond was laid out in the English style as the successor to a baroque garden. The round arch leads to the former farmyard and on to the palace and royal stables.
