Vandring
The Acheron in Epirus (northwest Greece) is the river of the dead in Greek mythology. The ferryman Charon leads the dead across the middle of the river so that they can safely reach the realm of Hades, the world of the dead.

In summer it is worth walking along the river through the water. In spring the hiking trail next to it offers great views of the Acheron and leads deep into the mountains. Some paths into the mountains to the springs are signposted.
