Vandring

Count Eberhard had the castle destroyed in 1384. Today only scattered stones and a small hill indicate the former castle. Anyone expecting a ruin here will be disappointed.

Vandring

Straubenhardt Castle is located above the mouth of the Rotenbach and the Enz. It originally dates back to the 11th century and was inhabited until the 15th century. Today, small remains can be found in the middle of deep forests on a spur. The moat and the castle plateau have been preserved. Several stones and earthworks indicate the course of walls and the locations of buildings.

Above all, the deep and wide moat that protected the castle against attackers can still be seen very well here. The ruin itself is more of a "pile of stones".
