If you are looking for a historical and spiritual destination, you can visit the Walcourt Basilica in Belgium. It is a minor basilica dedicated to Saint Maternus, who is said to have founded an oratory in the 4th century and carved a wooden Madonna, still preserved in the church. The basilica is a fine example of Gothic architecture.
