Vandring

The construction of the present church was begun in 1613, after having first built a cemetery chapel. Around 1790, an early-classicist annex was built to the west of the existing church. This gave the church a gallery and the beautiful facade. The church itself is surrounded by a wall reminiscent of the former cemetery. The high altar is designed as an architectural structure with columns. The altarpiece shows St. Otto helping the sick and the poor.

With about 1200 inhabitants, Reundorf is the second largest part of the municipality of Frensdorf in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg.

The place is interesting for mountain bikers because the Mainberg is directly adjacent with the legendary Mainberg Trail, the Schmausenkeller directly on the slope of the Mainberg. The iconic Indian Trail also runs not far away through the Thistle Mountain. And finally, the perfectly developed cycle path towards Ebrach, which runs on the former railway line, starts nearby
