On the edge of the Moritzburg pond area - in the middle of the corridors - is the village of Bärwalde, whose church tower is visible from afar.
The church stands in the middle of the village and was consecrated in 1867. According to the known documents, this church is the second church building in Bärwalde, which was not necessary because the church was destroyed by war or fire.
The village church became too small for the growing population of Bärwalde. So it was decided to "demolish" the old church and build a new, larger church in the same place.
