Vandring

Husum's port has existed since the end of the Middle Ages. The oldest part is the inland port. Here the North Sea almost reaches the market square and flushes fresh water into the city twice a day. The tide game can be experienced up close. In the Middle Ages, it was mainly the Dutch who chose the short route between the cities of Husum and Flensburg as a connection between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea for their trade. Today the inland port is a wonderful place to stroll and look.

Nice harbor for strolling and looking at shrimp rolls or Friesentorte. The selection is huge and the view over the harbor with the beautiful houses has a maritime effect.
