Vandring
The mill Saint-Roche has been in this place since the 16th century. It was one of 4 windmills in the village, used by 9 watermills for grain processing. In front of the mill is the round threshing floor, on which horse hooves separated the "wheat from the chaff". Sometimes, in addition, a still visible stone roll was used to increase the effect.
The operation of the mill was stopped at the beginning of the 20th century. Around 1990, the roof, as well as the wings and the grinder were restored:

A windmill has been installed on the esplanade since the 16th century. First called Moulin de la Gardiole, it became Moulin "Saint-Roch" in the 17th century, following the construction of the chapel dedicated to this saint, a few hundred meters away.

Thus, these old windmills are the best proof that humans were clever enough to harness the forces of nature for a number of centuries - long before the discovery of electricity and the inventions that followed.
