August Fischpera (* 1884, † 1968) was a citizen of Weissenstein, he lived on the former "Iron Bridge" on the Nagold. When the Allies were on the rise in the last days of the war in 1945, the Wehrmacht wanted to blow up this bridge. August Fischpera prevented this by stealing the detonators of the charged explosives using his life. This is commemorated today by this memorial stone, which stands on today's Weißensteiner bridge, which was built in 1982 instead of the "Iron Bridge".

When the French troops were advancing towards Pforzheim from the south in April 1945 in the final days of the war, the Wehrmacht wanted to blow up the Iron Bridge. August Fischpera prevented this by stealing the detonators of the attached explosive charges at the risk of his life.
