The name "wayside cross" chosen for the construction of this highlight is actually not appropriate, because even though this Marian shrine is crowned by a cross: the central component and focal point of this small sacred monument is the niche with a statue of the Mother of God, as well as the inscription "Holy Mary, pray for us" on the base.
