Despite the changes that have taken place since then, it still stands as an example of the superb mastery of medieval stone architecture.
The tympanum that originally stood over the north gate of the church is now above the portal entrance. It was placed there during the last restoration of the church in 1971-72.
On the south side is the single-masted Hansted ship with the stonemason's signature.
There are 100 seats in the church.
