After arriving in Santiago de Compostela, if you have time, I recommend you visit this beautiful park. It is a small green oasis in the city of pilgrims, which is sometimes a bit crowded.

Although the park receives the generic name of Alameda, it is made up of three well-differentiated parts: the Alameda promenade, the Santa Susana carballeira ("oak grove") and the Herradura promenade. The unit thus formed is, since the 19th century, the most important point of reference for walks and leisure for the people of Santiago, characterized by being a very welcoming space, a kind of natural lounge.
