The former railway line was expanded to become the railway line cycle path and is part of the Enztal cycle path. The Neuerburg – Zweifelscheid section was opened in 2002, the Zweifelscheid – Arzfeld section in 2005. The remainder of the route to Lünebach was expanded until 2007, where it was connected to the Pronsfeld – Waxweiler railway cycle path. The cycle path has been paved throughout since autumn 2011.
