Beautiful former town hall, located directly on Nathan Square in downtown Toronto. The town hall forms a good contrast to the surrounding high-rise buildings. Starting from the Square, the pool and town hall in the foreground and the high-rise buildings in the background offer good photo opportunities.

Toronto's Old City Hall has been a National Historic Site of Canada since 1984, not least because of the Roman Revival style of its architecture. It has lost its original function since 1965, the town hall having been moved to a new building.

The 'Old Toronto City Hall and York County Court House' is a massive sandstone building built in the Romanesque style. Completed in 1899, it is one of Canada's finest examples of monumental city halls.
