Vandring
Fürstenwalde is rich in German and industrial history and has a forest and lake environment.
It is very easy to hike in the woods to the Rauener Steinen and in a day tour to the Scharmützelsee.
In addition to cult events, Fürstenwalde has a zoo worth visiting and interesting restaurants.
If you have arrived in Bad Saarow after your hike, a boat trip on the Scharmützelsee and a visit to the thermal baths are recommended.

Vandring
Gerhard Goßmann was a German painter, graphic artist and illustrator. He was born in Guben, but grew up in Fürstenwalde. He became particularly known for his illustrations of adventure and young adult books such as Robinson Crusoe in 1957 in the Neues Leben publishing house, Berlin, Don Quixote in 1959 in the children's book publishing house in Berlin, among others.
