Vandring

The "Dom im Dom" is a spectacular building that does not appear to be uniform at first glance for a reason. Its construction took place over the centuries and had to be repeated several times - e.g. B. due to lack of money as a result of a financial crisis, or because of a lightning strike - interrupted and continued later.
As a result, different architectural styles had an influence.

There are guided tours and even a dedicated cathedral app with which you can get more information.

Vandring

The construction of the cathedral (actually collegiate church of our dear women) was stopped in the 15th century after around 200 years of construction, so that it remained unfinished and parts of the previous building were also preserved. A special feature is also the use: it is a simultaneous church. The nave has been used by the Protestant community since the Reformation, the choir remained with the Catholic monastery chapter.
