The Russian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Nicholas in Nice (Николаевский собор, Ницца) is the largest Eastern Orthodox cathedral outside Russia and is recognized as a national monument of France. The cathedral was opened in 1912 thanks to the generosity of Russian Tsar Nicholas II. It was built in memory of his son, the Czarewitsch Nicolas Alexandrovich, who died in Nice in 1865, at the age of 20, as a result of meningitis.

Vandring

The cathedral is open from 10am to 7pm. Unfortunately I was there too late and did not come to the property anymore. Nevertheless, a magnificent building.
