The varied flora and ancient trees provide excellent habitats for many creatures throughout the year.

What are the historical origins of Chateau Marquette?

Chateau Marquette stands on the site of the previous 13th-century Heemskerk Castle, or Huis te Heemskerk. Originally, a fortress was constructed around 1250 by Count William II of Holland.
