The Cerro Grande Route trailhead has parking and easy access to the Blue Trail for the Cerro Grande Route. Less than 50 feet south of here, right across New Mexico Highway 4, is the Upper Frijoles Canyon Viewpoint Ski Trail. This area is the backcountry of Bandelier National Monument. The trailhead has parking, signs, and maps of the area.
