Vandring

The early trade route from the Middle Ages ("mouse path") is now a particularly beautiful section of the route as a sunken path or ravine. Several times along the way, trees or bushes close above your head, so that you feel like you are in a green fairway.
The mouse path was part of the medieval network of trails. It was an easy path for traders, which was kept clear by walking and cutting back the undergrowth. So not only beautiful, but also historically significant!

Here is the best preserved part of the mouse path with a ravine, which deserves greater attention as a centuries-old Bodendenkmal.

The ravine to the Rotthäuserbachtal is always worth a detour. This applies in full sun, but also in the shade or in the early evening hours when it looks threatening, but somehow also captivates.
