One attraction in the Hanseatic city of Uelzen is the Hundertwasser train station. The world-famous artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser had the plan and idea to transform the old brick building into a colorful work of art. All shapes are rounded, imaginative and individually designed, just typical of Hundertwasser's art. Anyone visiting the Hanseatic city of Uelzen or passing through should visit the unusual and artistic train station. For me it is one of the most unusual train stations in Germany.

The original reception building was rebuilt as part of an Expo 2000 project based on the ideas and concept of the Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. The station is called the "environmental and cultural station" with the name Hundertwasser station Uelzen and is now an attraction, not only for tourists.
