The Gantkofel (Italian: Monte Macaion) is the northernmost peak of the Mendelkamm, which runs for about 35 kilometers between South Tyrol and Trentino. The view is impressive. From above as from below: Its striking shape also characterizes the valley panorama along the Adige.

Gantkofel in German, Mount Macaion is located on the Mendola coast and stands at an altitude of 1,866 meters. From the top you can enjoy a great view of the surrounding valleys and peaks, in addition to being present a commemorative stone and a high cross.
