Through the forest near Dahlem, a 2.7-kilometer-long dam, which is still clearly recognizable today, winds through the terrain on the ridge line between the so-called heather heads. This is a section of the oldest and most important national road in the northwest of the Roman Empire, the "Agrippastraße".
