    A place steeped in history.
During the Battle of Bautzen on May 20 and 21, 1813, the headquarters of the allied Russians and Prussians was located in Wurschen Castle; therefore the battle of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris is recorded as Bataille de Wurschen.

The knight's seat mentioned in 1486 was probably a moated castle that already existed around the year 1000. The owners were the lords of Kittlitz and Luzan, from 1498 Caspar von Sley and from 1504 the lords of Nadelwitz. Among these, the knight's seat was raised to a knightly estate in 1527.

The water-bearing ditch is still completely preserved.
