Vandring
The Stegastein viewing platform extends 30 meters above the treetops and 650 meters above the Aurlandsfjord, giving the impression of floating in the air. From the glass wall at the end of the platform you have a unique view of the fjord landscape. Stegastein is open all year round.

A wonderful excursion from Fläm over Aurland and up to the spectacular vantage point Stegastein. 650 meters above the village of Aurland and the fjord you have a fantastic view over the magnificent fjord landscape.

A beautiful overview of the fjord and villages below. I would definitely recommend to visit this place early in the morning, as shuttle buses start to carry tourists from Flåm at around 9am and then it’s just crowded all the time. If you want to avoid loads of tourists at the viewpoint and a lot more on the way up there, start early.
