Mountainbiking

It connects the tram stop on the plateau with the lower-lying Kirchberg / Pfaffenthal train station. Large, glazed wagons that glide up and down the slope almost continuously. Free. At the middle station you can switch to the elevator to the valley.

The funicular is a key element of the intermodal hub linking the Pfaffenthal district to the Plateau de Kirchberg. Inaugurated in 2017, it connects the Luxembourg rail network with the tram, buses and cycle path.

Located near the Pont Rouge, the funicular allows travelers coming from the train to climb 40 meters in altitude in 63 seconds and continue their journey to the districts of Kirchberg, Limpertsberg or to the Ville-Haute.

The funicular is completely free like all public transport in Luxembourg and offers breathtaking views of the valley and the Pont Grande-Duchesse Charlotte.
