Cykling
A very small place but it is highly recommended to go through the town center. There is a beautiful forged fence at the war memorial. :)

Cykling
Small quaint East Frisian town on the water. Above all, the dike and the beach from which you can see the Netherlands on the other side of the river are great.

Upleward is one of the 18 Warfendörfer, which together with the fishing village of Greetsiel form the quaint and beautiful Krummhörn. An extraordinary highlight are the blacksmith's fences, which seem to grow out of the earth like enchanted tendrils. The famous mud sled race also takes place in Uplewarder Watt.
