    The Battaglione Alpini Monte Granero refuge, better known as the Granero refuge, is located at the foot of the mountain of the same name, at 2,377 meters above sea level. Built in 1926 and inaugurated in 1928, it was expanded between the 1980s and 1990s. Today it can accommodate about 50 people and is open from June to September.

    Probably the best Rifugio (which is not accessible by car) in the Western Alps !!
    Super well maintained, great location, super nice hosts - excellent food!
    Only to be recommended!

    This is a beautiful refuge, nestled at the foot of Mount Granero, Pic Traverse and the Olive Summit at an altitude of 2,377 metres. The oldest part of the refuge dates back to 1926! In the early 1990s, the refuge expanded. Today, it is a really nice place to spend the night and meet other mountain enthusiasts. It is also possible to pitch a tent near the refuge.
