Avington Park is a grand, 16th-century house that lies in stunning parkland. The Grade I-listed mansion underwent significant renovation and construction in the 17th century and again in the 18th century. In 1847, it was bought by the brother of the poet, Percey Bysshe Shelley.

Still privately owned, Avington is opened occasionally to the public and is also a wedding and conference venue.

This is the main entrance to Avington House which is a beautiful family-owned private estate set in its own private parkland of 150 acres, along the banks of the River Itchen. Avington House is a Grade I listed building.

Avington’s rich grounds and opulent house became a prestigious party palace that sat at the heart of the Royal Court. Now it is a private venue that can be used for bespoke weddings or private events.
