Today's Evangelical Parish Church of the Holy Cross in Wiesenbronn was built in 1603 and is a listed building. The church dominates the townscape from its elevated position. The interior of the church emphasizes the Renaissance character, while windows and portals were still built in the Gothic style. The square around the church used to form a church castle with the surrounding buildings. Until about 1860, the access had a defensive gate. The northern defensive wall of the fortified church is still there.
