Vandring
and modern use – a true architectural gem on Parkstrasse.
It was built in 1873 for the building contractor Georg Voß.
The architect was Ferdinand Luthmer, known for his neoclassical designs.
The Wilhelminian-era villa, with elements of Italian Renaissance palaces, was restored in accordance with historic preservation standards between 2011 and 2014
and is now part of the Vitalresidenz Villa Voß, featuring high-quality apartments and commercial space.

The first villa in Gera with the classic characteristics of villa architecture was built in 1873 by the architect Ferdinand Luthmer for the master builder Voß and set the standard for all subsequent villas built by the wealthy bourgeoisie. Its urban location was aligned with the kitchen garden on the historic cultural axis of the Reuss princely house.
The architectural concept of the large, two-story hall with a surrounding gallery was subsequently passed down several times in Gera.
