Vandring

The foundation stone for the Evangelische Martinskirche Wüstenstein was laid in 1864 and the church was consecrated after its construction in 1867. Today's interior is characterized by the neo-Gothic style. In the church on the left is a side altar from 1710, which was in the previous church, the castle church as part of the Wüstenstein Castle. The castle church itself dates from the 14th century, but was abandoned from 1850 due to dilapidation.
From 1970 to 1972 the Martinskirche was renovated and partially redesigned. The new altarpiece by the painter Senf from Munich was also purchased here.

The Protestant St. Martin's Church is a listed building. It was built in 1865 in the neo-Gothic style. It can be seen far beyond Wüstenstein in the Aufseß Valley. In front of the church, there is a beautiful view of the Glockenfels opposite.
