As early as the Middle Ages, people were growing wine here at the foot of the Beninksberg. The conditions for this are perfect: Thanks to their southern orientation, the vineyards are protected from cold winds, and the ironstone soil gives the wines their typical taste.
Today you will find 1,400 vines here: Müller-Thurgau and Pinot Noir from the eighties, which were later supplemented with Bacchus, Chardonnay, Dornfelder and Pinot Gris.
Visiting the vineyard is possible by appointment. graevenberger.be

You can visit the lovely Ten Bunder vineyard in Nieuwrode. Beautifully situated on a sunny slope with a view of the village church.
