In a panoramic position, it is one of the most interesting examples of Trentino Romanesque art. Stone friezes (VIII-IX century) are visible outside the apse. Inside there are important frescoes dating from the second half of the 12th century to the beginning of the 16th century, in particular the martyrdom of San Lorenzo and a Last Judgment painted in 1384 by the Veronese Giuliano d'Avanzo.

The small church of San Lorenzo is open to the public on weekends in July and August.
