A very beautiful temple complex in Hamm. Once a year, the big Hindu festival takes place there, to which around 15,000 to 20,000 people come every year.

The Sri Kamadchi Ampal Temple in the North Rhine-Westphalian city of Hamm was on its completion and inauguration on 7 July 2002, the largest Dravida Temple in Europe and after the North Indian Nagara style built Neasden Temple in London, the second largest Hindu temple in Europe at all. He is the only temple of the goddess Kamakshi outside India or South Asia.
The Hindu community in North Rhine-Westphalia has over 3000 people. About 45,000 Tamil Hindus live in Germany.

The Sri Kamadchi Ampal temple exists since 1989 in Hamm. He came to Hamm-Uentrop in 1997. The history of the temple is closely linked to the flight of tens of thousands of Tamils.
