The "Paradise Fountain" in front of the Grand Hotel with the gallery in the Elysée, according to the will of the artist Prof. Bernd Altenstein (born 1943), helps to create a forecourt at the corner of Rothenbaumchaussee and Moorweidenstrasse.
The large bronze sculpture in the form of a tree, in which Adam, Eve and the snake seem to have grown, is surrounded by water "in the sense of a lush rain". Prof. Altenstein is a member of the German Artists' Association and the Darmstadt Secession. In 1986 he was awarded the "1st Rodin Grand Prize Exhibition".
