Bjergvandring
The bivouac is located on the high alpine Mainzer Höhenweg, directly on the Wassertalkogel at 3,247 meters. The view of the Wildspitze and the Ötztal Alps is incomparable.
The bivouac is unlocked, there are nine camp sites with sufficient blankets. Gas cookers are available, gas cartridges (C206 type no. 06F93) must be brought along.

Bjergvandring
The emergency bivouac box is not there to satisfy the thirst for adventure. It is intended for mountaineers who get into bad weather on the Mainzer Höhenweg. It can be lifesaving in bad weather. And if you want to quench your thirst for adventure in Notpiwak, you are out of the mountain.

Bjergvandring
The Mainzer Höhenweg can (especially under adverse conditions) be described as life-threatening if the experience in comparable terrain (steep old snow fields / ice / insured areas with a risk of a fatal fall) is poor. Before the inspection, the assessment of the local hut keepers (Rüsselsheimer / Braunschweiger) must be obtained in any case.
