One of the oldest and largest Jewish cemeteries in Germany. An information board explains the history of its creation and destruction. A peaceful place and testament to great iniquity.
From the path you can see some tombstones, thankfully not all of them were destroyed.
Directly behind it is the shooting range of the military training area.

Vandring

The Untergrombach Jewish cemetery has existed since 1632. You can find out more about the history at de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jüdischer_Friedhof_Obergrombach#

Unfortunately, you can't go to the cemetery because it's locked.

Vandring

This historic place literally takes the language away and I was very moved by the many moss-overgrown tombstones and the Hebrew inscribed gravestones. Even more touching is the history of this cemetery and the grave stones that had been installed by the Nazis as gutters in the hollows. I found it strange to hear in the background again and again the shots of the training area, which adjoins directly to the cemetery. This will certainly save you a weekend.
