If the locals are to be believed, the beaver sculpture, together with the stone ball behind it, is a kind of landmark of the city.

This sculpture, sawn from an oak trunk and approximately 1.7 meters tall, is considered the largest Master Bockert in Northern Germany and was erected in 2016. The beaver is a central symbol in Jarmen, featuring not only in the sculpture but also in the town's advertising, on welcome signs, and in the municipality's new mission statement, where a small beaver peeks around the corner, waving, at the letter "M." The sculpture stands at the center of the Kugelbrunnen fountain and is a prominent landmark in the town.
