The fairly natural Beeke (Low German word for Bach)
rises in the Schwanewede area, crosses the Lower Saxony-Bremen border three times and flows into Blumenthaler Aue at Blomendal Castle.
Since 2009, Beckedorfer Beeke has had a new “bed” parallel to Burgwall in the Blumenthal course: In order for nature to develop better there, the course of the Beeke has been extended and its lines changed.
