Vandring

The staircase was built by Sherpas from 2017 to 2019 and was recently officially opened. The staircase is made entirely of natural stone, and there are always benches and small sculptures, also made of stone. It is strict and steep, but the view back to Mossjøen is always worthwhile.
After the actual staircase you can continue to follow the hiking path up to the mountain, the path here also partly consists of stairs, but the further you go it is a normal hiking path.

Update to my entry from 2019: In contrast to 2019, where the stairs turned into a normal hiking trail, the entire path up to the over 800m high peak Oyfjellvarden is now only accessible via stairs.
