In the east of Wangerooge, the sky meets the fine, almost white sand. The view extends incredibly far over what is probably the most beautiful stretch of beach on the whole island. The further you hike to the east, the flatter and softer the dunes become. In good weather you can see as far as the Minsener Oog and Mellum. You can take a blanket with you and just linger here and take in this incredibly beautiful place. The walk there, whether along the beach or from the village via paved paths, is definitely worth it!

Nice view of the uninhabited Minsener Oog. The slender turn in the south of the island, seen from Wangerooge right on the island, is a radar tower, which used to serve as a lighthouse. The squat dark tower in the north of the island, from Wangerooge on the left side of the island, is a former military observation tower, which also served as a lighthouse at times. Since 1998, both beacons are out of service.

Also in May you are almost alone here. Nice view of the uninhabited Minsener Oog and the mainland (Schillig). Here was also the old investor of Wangerooge.
