The mystical-looking ruin of the neo-gothic chapel still captivates the visitor today. The chapel construction stands on the northern edge of the former and now unfortunately verwilderten park of castle Greifenstein. The upper chapel room with the three gothic windows facing south and north is almost defiant. The wooden vaults are destroyed today, the false ceiling is broken, as well as the outer sunrise. The whole system is collapse risk.

If you take a look, the chapel ruins were built in 1826 in the historicizing neo-Gothic style and have a somewhat mystical effect in the middle of the forest. Be careful, the ruins are very dilapidated.

I can only confirm the comrades' warning. Of course, no one keeps to the prohibition on entry. Was in ruins three weeks ago, extremely dilapidated, absolutely dangerous. The barriers and barbed wire are trampled and overgrown, barely visible on the ground.

The chapel ruin (not a chapel!) Was built in 1826 as part of the renovation of the castle park to an English landscape garden as a "decorative element" in historicizing neo-Gothic style.
