The church was built in 1473 as a three-aisled hall church in the late Gothic style, after the previous building was destroyed in the Hussite Wars in 1429. It was rebuilt in the Neo-Gothic style between 1869 and 1870.

The Frauenkirche is a three-aisled hall church in the late Gothic style. The church was once at the gates of the town of Görlitz. In the meantime, however, it is located in the middle of the center and shapes the image of the city center. In the fall of 1989, it was the starting point for prayers for peace in the city.

Built in the 15th century, the Frauenkirche stands near Postplatz. It's a shame that you can only take photos from the inside if you pay a fee of 1.50 euros....
